Our bikes

We maintain a fleet of bikes which means we should always have a bike to suit your needs.  You can also have tuition on your own bike and many motorcycle dealers can deliver your bike to us ready for your CBT.

Honda - Twist & Go scooters

Scooters were once seen as the preserve of the Mod generation, but today the market is very different to that dominated by Lambrettas and Vespas in the 60s and 70s.  With some scooters doing more than 100 miles on £5 of petrol it's not suprising to see how popular they have become.

We have 50cc Honda Vision Twist & Go scooters.  As the name suggests you simply twist the throttle to go, with no gears to worry about.

Our 50cc bikes are restricted to be mopeds so are great for 16 year olds who are restricted to riding mopeds but they're great for anyone else wanting to learn to ride a scooter.

Honda - CG 125

The Honda CG125 is a commuter motorcycle made by Honda of Japan. The CG125 is powered by a fuel-efficient 124 cc four-stroke, overhead valve, single-cylinder engine that has changed little over the years.

The CG125 is popular with learners due to licencing laws which allow a rider to operate a 125 cc motorbike with L plates by completing a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course.  It's generally used by most training schools in the UK  as it is an easy bike to control and operate.

With a seat height of 781 mm (30.7 in) and a rugged and reliable build this is one of the most popular bike most students wanting to ride a bike with manual gear change use for their CBT or A1 lessons.

Honda - XL 125 Varadero

The Honda Varadero is a commuter motorcycle made by Honda of Japan. The Varadero is powered by a 124 cc 4-stroke SOHC 4v 900 V-twin engine that was originally developed for the VT125C Shadow cruiser motorcycle.

Borrowing design cues from the XL1000V Varadero, Honda set about developing a bike that offered substantially bigger proportions than most 125 cc motorcycles, with a seat height of 802 mm (31.6 in), ensuring that the rider would gain a commanding road view.

This makes the Varadero ideal for larger students wanting to ride a bike with manual gear change for their CBT or A1 lessons.

Yamah - YBR 125

The Yamaha YBR is a commuter motorcycle made by Yamaha of Japan. The YBR is powered by a 125cc 4-stroke fuel injected air-cooled engine.

Benefiting from a light, diamond-shaped chassis, the YBR125 offers controlled handling and effective suspension for a reassuring ride. Braking comes courtesy of a front disc and rear drum brake .

Lightweight and smaller it's an ideal bike for not only those learning to ride but those with smaller proportions.

With it's solid engine, dependable chassis, upright bars and a seat height of 770mm it is a popular bike for not only those learning to ride an A2 class bike but also for many experienced motorcyclists.

The Honda NC750 with 745cc and 54bhp with a seat height of 830mm is a great bike for the A2 licence. Our NC750 has had the seat lowered.

In most respects, the MT-07 is a conventional middleweight naked bike.

We have been using these bikes for the A licence since September 2018 and they are a great hit with students.
